We learnt our final letter sound this week in Phonics when we learned the sound 'ar'. We named vocabulary with this sound such as park, farm and car. We also learnt the new key words 'said' and 'like' and gave sentences in English using these words. We are all trying much harder to speak in English in class, especially now we have our own reward chart and a winner is chosen each week :).

In Literacy this week, we talked about animals & their babies. We discussed some of the baby animals we saw at the farm and made up our own story based on one we had listened to in class.

Topic work this week also involved talking about animal babies. We discussed which animals lay eggs and which do not. We also sorted the baby animals into those you would find in a zoo, in a farm or in your home.
